Irresponsible is something he is not. Michael Bublé's latest offering is still filled with the usual standards. But with an act such as Boyz II Men crooning with him on the track "Comin' Home Baby", "Call Me Irresponsible" is one album that grows on you, track after track, spin after spin.
Opening the set with the remake of the classic "The Best Is Yet To Come", this latest offering gives justice why Bublé is touted as the modern-day Frank Sinatra. With impeccable choices such as "Wonderful Tonight" and "Me and Mrs. Jones", he could even give Eric Clapton Elvis Presley a run for their money. With the brilliant production team of David Foster and Humberto Gatica, the same team behind his debut and sophomore release, nothing could possibly go wrong with this album's performance. Sometimes, it is wiser to stick to a winning formula--something that has withstood the test of time. Hence, what could go wrong with standards?
Bublé even put his songwriting skills to the test. The finished product? The track called "Everything" which peaked at the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart at #46. Not bad for a novice gifted with a soulful voice.
Believe me when I say that purchasing this album is never irresponsible. I say, it is time that he should get his hands on some original material for a change.Was this review helpful? Yes - No
