    Great little player

By yuckcentral  Nov 1, 2006 | 9 out of 9 found this COBY MP-C848 review helpful

Pros: Cool interface, colors, built-in mic, pc connectivity

    Cons: Battery life

I got this player at a really low price. It was 1/2 the price of another player which had twice the memory. Go figure. I thought 'it must suck though...' wow was i surprised. The first thing i noticed is how cool the colors are. It has about ...5 or so colors to choose from in the backlit screen There are also settings so you can just have one color on at all times. I used it mostly for a voice recorder. I recorded up to 300 files, and it still had room for more. I think it is only limited by storage space. But what is really great is how you can then upload all your files to a pc. All in all very good value for the price. Read more Less

Pros: Small size, Built in usb,

    Cons: Battery Life, Instructions

I recieved this mp3/wma player for christmas/good grades. The battery goes really fast for me, because to me music is really BIG, i love it. I had to change my battery twice in two days. The insutrctions dont explain everything as simple as i think ...it should be, but you'll eventually get. I do not know how to switch my player from MP3 mode to WMA mode... it doesnt explain it either. The Customer Care is ok.... i e-mailed them to tell them about my problem(s) and how i could fix them. It took 2 days for them to reply, which i am satisfied with, but the problem is, they didnt even fix my problem. I'm going to give them one more chance, and if that doesnt work, i'll take it back for a replacement. Read more Less

    Okay MP3 Player

    By Joseph  Sep 17, 2008

Pros: Cheap, easy portability, USB flash drive style

    Cons: Track selector

For getting this for 5 bux I'd say it was worth the money. It had a nice simple format and some cool features... Coby was on the right track with this player. It has lasted a year but alas it is starting to breakdown. The track selector is not wo...rking anymore and in order to get it to go to the next track I have to literally death grip it and pray it changes, which it seems to not want to anymore. The track selection switch on the top is rather cheaply made and was a really bad choice in design IMO. Otherwise the player isn't bad but don't expect it to last longer than a couple years at most. It has become rather frustrating and I fear I have to lay it to rest and go find a more serious replacement... Read more Less

    Horrible

    By Camille M  Mar 2, 2008

    Pros: Good sound quality.

    Cons: Battery life and value.

This device is a mess. Some how, my device says my mp3 files are deleted, yet when I plug it into my computer, it says there is 0 free space and the device is full. Do not waste your money on this device.

    Pros: Portable Sounds Good

Cons: Not sturdy or long lasting

Control buttons are a pain in the ---.
Player didn't last more than 2 months.

I now use it as a flash drive which I guess is ok but I wanted a player not a drive.

Pros: Built in usb,Easy to use, Had radio and Voice recorder

Cons: Earphones that came with it were uncomfortable

I brought this fairly cheap at Big Lots for my husband. He has used it everyday since with no problems. It was easy to load music on to. I was surprised that it had a radio and voice recorder on it .

    It never worked

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 13, 2006 | 1 out of 3 found this COBY MP-C848 review helpful

Pros: Cheaper than a quality player

    Cons: Would not work

Plugged it into my computer but nothing happened. Coby Tech Support could not help but suggested I return the item. Unfortunately, the receipt is lost so I'm stuck with this.
