Bust-A-Move Pocket Neo Geo

Bust-A-Move Pocket comes with all of the Bust-A-Move gameplay that you're used to. The "ceiling" (top of the screen) is filled with colored bubbles, and you control a shooter at the bottom of the screen. Since your shooter launches bubbles of the same eight colors as those on the ceiling, the object is to create matches of three or more in order to remove them from the playing field. If you're not fast enough, however, the ceiling will slowly come down; once the bubbles reach the bottom of the screen, it's game over

The four modes available are Puzzle, Vs. CPU, Vs. Player and Survivor. Puzzle is a mode designed to test how fast you can clear a stage, while Vs. CPU lets you compete against one of eight computer opponents on a vertically split screen. Vs. Player is exactly like it sounds: an opportunity to challenge a friend using two separate NeoGeo Pocket Color systems linked together. The final mode, Survivor, tests how long you can keep playing as bubbles are gradually added to the playing field. Clear the stage and play resumes on a more difficult level

Other features available to players include eight adjustable difficulty levels, the option to set the number of rounds comprising two-player contests, a sound test, an automatic off switch after ten minutes of inactivity, and the ability to delete saved data.
