Bust-A-Move 3000 GameCube

Bust-A-Move 3000 continues the classic bubble-popping action Nintendo owners have experienced in one form or another since the franchise's 1995 Super NES debut. For its first GameCube appearance, the game adds a new anime-inspired visual style to many of the familiar features from past editions. As in the original, the main object of the game is to clear a screen filled with bubbles before the ceiling collapses.

Players aim a bubble launcher (located at the bottom of the screen) in the direction of similarly colored bubbles. Match three or more of the same color and they'll disappear from the playing field. Bubbles must be popped at a steady pace since the ceiling gradually lowers during play. Once it moves past the "deadline," the game is over. Single-player mode offers a selection of pre-defined layouts as players attempt to clear the screen as quickly as possible, while two-player versus competition is available against a friend or a series of increasingly challenging computer opponents.

Bust-A-Move 3000 features a total of 12 characters to choose from, 120 stages of bubble-busting action, multiple difficulty settings, and a stage edit mode that lets players create their own puzzles and scenarios from scratch. Quirky characters range from kittens and robots to birds and frogs, with each possessing distinct abilities such as how fast they can guide the bubble launcher. Backgrounds for each stage include cityscapes, forests, notable landmarks, insects, abstract art and more.
