Pros: story line, new characters, new threat

Cons: no Tara in beginning Credits, loss of other characters

This season is definately up there in the favorites catagory. Definately a lot of drama, and ups and downs that we've come to expect from the Buffy series. There are a 2 new characters introduced to us...one being Dawn: Buffy's "sister...", well ok not really but it really throws ya for a few episodes. She's actually "the key" which is where our OTHER new character comes in. Glorificus, aka. "Glory" and/or "Ben". For a good long time through the season you are not quite aware that this is the same person, one good, one bad. Glory is after "the key" (Dawn) and doesn't realize WHAT "the key" is until much later in the season, she just knows that the Slayer is keeping it safe.Spike is finally taken on as a regular character, as is Tara, but unfortunately Tara is not put into the beginning credits...I don't really understand that simply because she is in the show much longer than Riley who only made it through the 4th season and half of the 5th. Tara was in for 2 and a half since she came in about half way through the 4th and was killed off at the very end of the 6th. We also lose 2 characters...one obviously being Riley who leaves to join back with the GI's. Sad moment, boohoo, we're over it. The other loss on the show is Buffy's mom who dies of natural causes. From what I can tell it has to do with a blood clot in the brain, although it's thought that it could be Glory. That was a very difficult episode to watch because of how emotional it was, that doesn't happen very often on Buffy, and doesn't happen again until the season finale when we lose our main character, Buffy. (Who of course comes back on UPN for the 6th and 7th season) Read more Less
