Pros: Eliminates need for lots of machinery

Cons: Scanning is worthless

I purchased the unit intending to replace a lot of machinery in my office: printer, copier, scanner & fax machine. I work in graphics so scanning is crucial to my work. The device's scanning is on amateur -- to scan with a preview using the ADF you must feed the document twice -- it doesn't retain the preview in memory! And, if you scan from the ADF and select to scan as grayscale image, no matter what, it produces an image that is not grayscale but is Index Color which is useless for print graphics work. I have sent nearly two hours on the phone with their level 5 tech support who in the end confirmed that I was correct in these issues and was how the machine was made to work! They even warned me that if I were to upgrade to a newer driver/software package, then all scanning, not just from the ADF (from flatbed too which is now okay) would be Index color even if set to grayscale! I can't begin to understand why anyone would want or expect a machine to perform in this matter.
