    Pros: Great melodies, great ballades, great dance tunes.

    Cons: none

    The powerful side of this album is it's ballades. "Whispers In Blindness", "Edge Of Heaven", "Que Sera" - they will melt you and probably make you cry. Has a good deal of dance tracks on it too which are quite catch...y. Read more Less

    I usually listen to punk rock!!! But hey, when I was 11, I used to like this kind of music...and I still like it(but no one knows). AND those swedish female singers have a sexy voice. It makes them sound like hotties. This is a far way from NOFX...

    Anyone who likes pop music should get this album! Ace of Base did an excellent job, this
    is one of the best CDs ever! The best songs are NGSIS, BL, AE and WIB!!! Those songs and the whole CD are/is fabulous!!!!

    Why Am I the First?

    This is hands-down the best Ace of Base album so far. Where "The Sign" was an overproduced summary of early 90s euro-techno-pop, and "Cruel Summer" was a somewhat good attempt at living up to their ABBA comparisons, "The Bridge" is completely THE Ac...e of Base sound. Ballads that aren't too slow or sappy, dance groves that you can enjoy the beat AND the lyrics without straining your ears. Highlights include "Angel Eyes" an awsome ballad giving props to the group harmonizing together WITH the guys. Another high point: the acoustic version of "Lucky Love." It is so good to listen to, it rivals the radio-friendliness of the Back Street Boys' "I Want it That Way." And possibly the best song on the whole album was saved for last. "Blooming 18" is one of the few songs not writen to those in their late 20s or those still waiting for peuberty to start, but for those caught in the middle being forced into adulthood. Lyrics placed against a bouncing, minor chord, bass line will make even your ultra-uncoordinated uncle get up and shake his groove thing. Don't get me wrong, Ace of Base is THE BEST international crossover group to come from anywhere overseas. "The Sign" and "Cruel Summer," even with their slight imperfections, still surpass a lot that is out there in terms of solely entertaining music. But "The Bridge" is the best representation of the Ace of Base style. Read more Less
