    If you love American Idol, youll love Clay singing Bridge over trouble water! Ruben has talent but Clay has something more. He has more character, styles, spirit and a voice that will make you cry. I highly recommend this to anyone of all ages!

    I got hooked on Clay the first time I saw his audition, purely by chance I must say since I was never interested in the previous American idol. I was moved by his sweet dorky appearance and his personality, and then he sang. To hear such an extraordi...nary voice coming from such a skinny body left me speechless. This is when I decided to watch the show religiously every week. Im so proud I got to witness the birth of a legend. Clays voice is a gift to us all. I dont remember when was the last time I bought a music CD. My teeny boppers days are long gone. But I know Ill buy everything Clay throws at us. I cant get enough of his voice. Its magical, extraordinary, heavenly, I wish there were a better word to express what his voice does to my soul. Its almost like a religious experience. Maybe thats what people felt when they heard Elvis for the first time. Clay will be as big if not bigger than Elvis. He already has fiercely devoted fans from all over the world which is probably unheard of for somebody who was totally unknown just a few months ago. His caring personality, his humility, his cluelessness as to why people love him so much makes him even more endearing. This young man is such an inspiration and a wonderful example for our children, and Ill be sure to contribute to his favorite charities. Clay, I know you dont understand why, but we love you because you bring joy and hope into our life in difficult and dark times. You help us chase away hopelessness and bring us comfort, faith and strength. You are Gods gift to us all. Read more Less

    I know that the single is not out yet, but of course as most people, I herd this song on American Idol. When I herd This is the Night, I just fell in love with the song. Clay finally proves that there is actual true singers in this world. With; true ...talent, emotion, style, and power all in one. Something that the pop industry has been missing for a long while.     When I first heard Clay Aiken I thought My God, can he sing! And every time he has appeared on American Idol to compete against the others, I held my breath until it was his turn to come on stage. As far as I was concerned, there was no contest. As o...ne of the American idol judges, Paula Abdul, summed it up by saying to Clay Every time we ask you to raise the bar, youve done it. In fact, you have SURPASSED the bar...you are so freakin talented. I totally agree with Paula. When you listen to Clay sing, he transports you to another place. When you watch him perform, you become fixated with his gestures and interpretation of the song. It is utterly AMAZING. By now, its safe to say...yes, I like him...I love him even. He deserved the American Idol title but even still he will do very well having come in second. You must get this cd -- This is the Night is a beautiful song and On the Wings of Love has my vote as well. In fact, there isnt a song sung by Clay Aiken that I havent liked yet. Its like he takes a song, whether its a past hit or a not-so-well-known song and he turns it into a whole new song so you remember only his rendition. Even Neil Sedaka, after hearing Clay sing his song Solitaire, said that he had forever lost his song to Clay and he would kill to write and produce Clays first cd.     The job of a producer is to create the best song he/she can. The job of a producer is to take the raw materials of a recording session and spin it into gold. The job of a producer is NOT to take a god-given vocal talent like Clay Aiken and drown hi...m out with Spector-esque wall-of-sound garbage, as the producer on BOTW did. There are times when Clay's stellar vocals rise above the cacophony, but this so-called producer works hard to trample him down.     Clay's voice sounds as good as it did on TV, but the arrangement of Bridge over Troubled Water is really bad. The cheesy gospelesque backing vocals are intended to make the song soar into a higher plane, but instead anchor the song firmly to eart...h.     Clay is clearly in his element singing the new song This is the Night and this great arrangement of Bridge Over Troubled Water. Record executives would be absolutely foolish to mess with his style, making him into a forgettable teenie flavor of the m...onth as they did with Kelly Clarkson. Clays career will be a long one if hes allowed to stay within his genre.     AWESOME! Clay's voice is un-comparable in it's range and power, and this new amazing talent can sing just about anything...and well. Any song he "covers" he does better than the original singer, and brings the song to life. I abso...lutely love Clay Aiken and I can't get enough of his voice. Such an adorable personality too. I haven't felt this way about a singer for years - he brings a smile to my face while at the same time bringing me to tears - Listening to Clay is an unbelievable experience and I'm under his spell.
