    Pros: Educational

Cons: Wish it had more things to do

I love this game. I brought for my 12 and 9 year olds but played it myself and loved it. My son has A.D.D. and it makes him want to keep trying to beat not just our scores but his score, too. I feel this is a good game for someone who is competative ...and gets frustrated when it comes to doing something educational. I take more different versions of this game over any other games especially the violent ones. Read more Less

Pros: once you start, you can't stop, surprisingly addictive

Cons: handwriting recognition could be better, more mini games

Brain Age is just what the doctor could order for increasing and unlocking anyone's brain potential. Through simple exercises such as math equations, reading aloud, perception games,,this game offers the player a chance to not only flex their bra...in IQ but make it stronger. The game utilizes they DS stylus and microphone in a seamless fun experience. Doing math and word problems doesn't sound like fun,,but yet somehow this game makes not only enjoyable but addictive. The first time I heard about a game called Katamari Damacy, I remember thinking 'so what , you roll a big ball around and pick up stuff,,how fun could that be?' And then I played it and somehow it was the most fun I had had on a game system in a long while. The fun factor of Brain Age is the same way. I only wish there were more mini games to "train" my brain on. Read more Less

Pros: All of the quizzes are fun and really make you think.

Cons: I hate the head count game! Grrr.......

I got this game for my daughter because she was relentless in asking for it. She used it with her Nintendo DS and I enjoyed playing some of the games on it, but I never actually attempted to lower my Brain Age and keep track of my scores. When she go...t a Nintendo DS Lite, I took over her DS and started playing the Brain Age game. I loved it from the start! It gets my blood flowing cause I am trying to do the 100 math problems as fast as possible, or trying to draw "The Thinker" from memory, or trying to remember as many words as possible in 2 minutes. It's addictive! I have taken my Brain Age from 89 (ugh) to 37 (woo hoo!). It also has Sudoku, which I had never done before, and I am digging that too. Great game, especially for the bargain price of $19.99 (new). Highly recommended for young and old alike. Read more Less

    An Ingenious Idea

    Pros: Fun games, great graphics..."doctor&q
    uot; is hilarious...

Cons: Small amount of games, too easy

I received Brain Age this Christmas and felt mildly enthusiastic. I mean, how fun can "educational games" be? I found out the the answer is: very fun! Brain Age is delightfully interactive, using the touch screen/ stylus and the microphone... in creative ways. The presentation of the games makes you want to play it every day (which "doctor" recommends). My favorite part is the Sudoku. I would reccomend first letting the game alert you when you enter a wrong answer, until you become good this way. Then, you should advance to figuring out the wrong answers yourself! It's a fun puzzle that really works the brain. One thing that disappointed me was how easy it was to quickly advance into unlocking mini-games and bringing down your age. I find it almost irritatingly easy. I wish that the difficulty was more. Read more Less
