the movie is very good and i wish that u can come out with somthing lick it and also like BABY BOY that was a good movie too but eny why you should put ICE CUBE SNOOP &THRESS in the next movie ok but ony if u wanna OK! The movie was sweet and touching, but it was a fairytale. There was nothing very beleivable about Cuba Gooding Jr. He played a 5 year old the whole movie that you wanted to tickle. The characters were all too full of drama, and none had any personality, they looked as though they were actors on a movie set rather then people. And the corny music didn't help it out much either. It could be a decent movie under different direction, but somehow you always had to role your eyes at it. It was like a campy hood movie.

In a time when horrible black "hood" movies were everywear John Singleton brings home a winner. Singleton portrays growing up in the hood perfectly and makes one of the best movies of the year. Fishburne is brilliant and should have won best actor for his role. Ice Cube again is outstanding and again is underrated. I would recommend this movie to anyone. it will go down as a classic.

This film brings out the emotions, dangers and fears of the "Hood". The film is about 3 teenagers growing up and coming of age in the violent South Central district of Los Angeles. This film will keep you watching and wondering, "Is this what really goes on in the hood?"

wow was this movie powerfull. i had to stop it several times to stop myself from being depressed. it was also kinda funny at the same time. great performances by ice cube, cuba gooding jr., and laurence fishburne.
