Phantastic
All I can say is - buy this album! Although, very heavy, it is a worthwhile listen.

Side 1: With 11 songs averaging 6 mins a piece, there's that feeling that it's too long.
Side 2: After listening to this, time will become an abstract concept. In fact, I can assure anybody that they'd end up leaving their CD player on repeat all... and that's the definition of time well spent.
The social consciousness of songs such as 'Both Sides of the Story' and 'We Wait and We Wonder', it's a deeply stirring album. Then there are your usual love songs - in Phil's hands they go beyond 'usual' - such as 'Everyday'. I first heard this album on an abridged tape and vowed to lay my hands on the CD. To find that this was not a major chart-topper befitting it's quality (and that means I expected Billboard to think of it as a semi-permanent fixture on the top of their charts - is about as dissapointing and shocking as finding out 'Star Wars 1' was a commercial flop (theoretically speaking, of course...)Was this review helpful? This album is a certain favourite of mine... I recently purchased it two years ago. I'd have to say, although the album contains much longer songs, they have more purpose to them as opposed to the songs like "Sussudio" of No Jacket Required - a great album, but Both Sides gets a stronger message through.

This album separates the men from the boys. Most people who like this album like most of Phi Collins output. The ones who don't are the ones that listen to Brand X and Gabriel era Genesis. It all depends on your point of view. I tend to lie somewhere in the middle.

This is an amazing album ,I think most people didn't understand what was happening in Phil's mind on 1992 to 1994 and this great album talk about that.
I think this one is an album to ilsten in your sofa very relaxed, and there are amazing songs like BOTH SIDES OF THE STORT ,CAN'T TURN BACK THE TEARS ,EVERYDAT ,SURVIVORS(better live) ,THERE'S A PLACE FOR US and WE WAIT AND WE WONDER and of course the other are also good.
Finally would be good listen to WE WAIT AND WE WONDER because of the horrible things that happened in USA.

After "Face Value", Phil Collins career whil taking of sucessfuly considerably dwindled creativly. The amazing drummer and songwriter was simply not present on No Jacket Required. This album however marks his return. The lyrics here are beautiful and his druming sound louder then his has in years. Althoough he played every instrument on the record and recorded it himself, at no point does the record show anything other than professionalism. He knew he could play guitar like that "Both Sides of the Story"

HAVE NOT REALLY LISTEN TO MUCH OF IT. I FOUND IT IN MY BROTHERS STUDY AFTER HE PASSED AWAY. (ONLY CD AROUND)HE WAS 51, I REMEMBER AS A CHILD HOW HE LOVED THE ROLLING STONES...GUESS HE MELLOWED OUT. LOOK FORWARD TO LISTENING TO THIS MORE AND TRYING TO "FIND" WHERE HE WAS IN HIS LIFE AT THE TIME.

Despite not reaching the musical peaks of some of it's predeseccors, exspecially '...But Seriously', they are still some very good tracks. 'We Fly So Close' has an acousitc guitar sound that sound's like an Enya song, but sound's better on here. Songs like 'Both Sides Of The Story', 'I Can't Find My Way', and 'Survivors' are good songs on an enjoyable, if slightly dissapointing album.

I think this album was made from the HEART. There are some very good tracks on this one!!! Turn down the lights and close your eyes and let the music take you.
