Not a good center channel speaker.
There's a reason why Bose doesn't list the frequency response on any of its speakers...they're too embarrassed to. While this speaker is nice looking, its sound leaves a lot to be desired. My advice is to look elsewhere for a decent center channel speaker.

I recently bought both the bose center speaker and surround speaker 301s and my dvds sound soooooo sweet. With the 5.1 surround speaker channel it's like have my own mini theather. Get these speakers and Gone in 60 second and see what i mean.

Every pcs of equipment I have is Sony, from my Wega to the STR-DE 845, but this unit totally blew away the Sony center channel speakers on the market today. It worth the extra $$.

I have a pre dolby 5.1/ac3 Acoustimass 5 series III speaker system with Bose Model 101 rear speakers and a pro-logic surround sound receiver. I recently added this speaker to my system and it was MUCH cheaper than upgrading EVERYTHING to get Dolby Digital 5.1.
This speaker rocks, is adds the much needed voice to surround sound encoding and really makes the voice tracks in movies on DirectTV pay per view and DVD's come alive.

Ive been buying Bose products from the late 70"s.I started with the nine o ones and still have not found a better pair of speakers.There all driver sound has no equal.This center channel speaker is another example of the driver theory.I sometimes wonder how they get that clean, crisp, clear bass from such small speakers but no matter clearly Bose is number 1.
