What a great sound, coming from a great artist. Some of these songs have a hint of 'world music' in them, but just enough to give them a unique flavor and not overpower the song with a certain 'sound'. While Boomslang does retain its roots, I found... that it strayed from what you might normally think to hear from Marr. It's a good departure from a familiar sound, and while I like Morrissey's solo work, he did not really get too creative with his post-Smiths music. Marr has done exactly the opposite. The album is crisply produced, but the guitar work still remains at the forefront, while the production simply fills in the gaps. Kudos to Boomslang, and I sincerely hope this is not just a "project", but a lasting group. They definately have a lot to offer! Read more Less
