Los Angeles group Bodies of Water pursues the extravagance of the Polyphonic Spree and Arcade Fire, bringing together traditional American folk, theater and a deep admiration of gospel. While the lineup can grow to 11 people, the core members are Kyle Gladden (bass), Meredith Metcalf (organ), David Metcalf (guitar) and Jessie Conklin (drums), with all sharing vocal duties. Following an EP was the fulllength Ears Will Pop Eyes Will Blink, which the band selfreleased in July 2007.
