    Yet another collection of preIsland sides by Bob Marley the Wailers, everything here was recorded with producer Lee "Scratch" Perry between August 1970 and April 1971, and while the Perry sessions were arguably the best Marley the Wailers ever participated in, these sides are available in countless legal and notso legal releases on the market so nothing here is much of a surprise. Oddly, the front cover proclaims that these are "new versions" (Marley did rerecord some of these songs in his later years with Island Records, so what's here may well be "new versions" to some listeners in that sense) but they aren't new. They're the originals.
