    This is an album for only the "true Blues Traveler fan". If you casually like them, or have just heard a few tunes and thought them ok, this is not for you. Don't get me wrong, this is deffinately a good album. It just that if you are not a fan of t...his type of music, you may be turned off by it. But, if you are a Traveler fan, pick it up.     Blues Traveler's self titled cd is perhaps one of their best compilations to date. The music when played from beginning to end sends one into another world and the lyrics touch home. Popper's voice only helps this cd grow in popularity...it is perha...ps safe to say he has one of the best throats in the music industry. And finally, his harmonica playing is nothing short of truelly magnificent. The way he plays the harmonica is unbelievable.     Blues Traveler's loose jam structures on basic blues riffs mark them as a band in the tradition of such predecessors as the Grateful Dead. Unlike that communal effort, however, this group has a distinct focal point in virtuoso harmonica player and vocalist John Popper, who keeps things from meandering too much.
