Fourteen characters return from earlier incarnations of Bloody Roar games, and three new characters join them. A "Zoanthropes" gauge has been added to monitor power and health, a story mode allows players to learn each characters dramatic story, and the combat system includes counters, blocks, combos, and aerial juggling.
