A conventionally styled, isometricview actionRPG, Blade and Sword returns players to an ancient China for hackandslash mythological adventure in the vein of Nox, Throne of Darkness, and the classic Diablo. Players choose one of three archetypical characters the agile assassin, the brawny warrior, or the wellrounded longswordsman and begin a 40level adventure in which the hero will face a variety of dangerous creatures and gradually improve in skill and ability. Martial arts play a bigger role in this Asianthemed adventure than in many other actionRPGs. Combat in Blade and Sword also distinguishes itself by allowing players to create custom combination attacks, which may be employed through hotkeys or mouseclick shortcuts.
