    terrible software, constantly have to download new updates, slow, slow, slow whenever you do anything and I do mean anything. If you are looking for a phone to respond to your every touch this is not the one. Trust me I've owned it for 5 months a...nd I am pulling my hair out, but I feel like I have to use it because it was so damned expensive. Read more Less

    Pros: looks really sleek and usefull

    Cons: an expensive dissapointment

    The blackberry network is always down. The devices themselves have a number of issues as well. The company has sent me my 3rd device. the first one couldn't open any e-mail attachements, 2nd and 3rd pda's have problems staying on. That's ...right people, it crashes and powers out whenever it wants. (You are fortunate enough to look at a cute little hourglass while your expensive PDA is thinking.) The phone reception on it is pitiful. I HATE this Blackberry, it mocks me and holds all of my information hostage! Read more Less

    Pros: Looks Good, Excelent Graphics, Good to type on

    Cons: Internet Slow for Graphics intensive pages

    I had an older model Blackberry with the full qwerty thumb board and recently recieved this. The screen resolution is far better than the 87xx and 77xx series. I don't have a problem reading emails since more fits on the screen. It is a much smal...ler form factor and doesn't look strange when you use it as cell phone. The keypad is qwerty with 2 letters shared per key. The suretype feature makes up for the doubling up of the letters on the keys with 95% accuracy. The email filters are available on the phone so you don't have to use you PC to change them. There is a global search feature that allows you to search email, contacts, memos, calendar, etc. Read more Less

    Pros: Small

    Cons: Price

    Being a student, up to the minute email alerts are not on my requirements when I bought it. The 7100g takes a little bit of time to get used to but taking that time will allow you to enjoy the features in the future. I have not yet had any problems ...with reception with calling that I have not had with regular cell phones. The problem could be your reception in that area or your service provider. Talking in public places have other noises to deal with, so either buy an ear piece or move to a area with less noise. (If you are on a public bus or train please tell the person you will call back later, its annoying and you look stupid talking to when no one else is) Read more Less

    Pros: Sleek design, neat display, decent suport

    Cons: IT CRASHES! S-L-O-W overall performance (on every aspect),

    If this is your first multipurpose comunication device, you may like it. But if you had PDA phones in the past you will probably hate this one as much as I do. If you like Blackberry for the "TEXT ONLY" E-mail function, then the FREE tag on... the device is ok (they make all the money from the plan of course). Not a good tool to stay organized or browse the net, unfortunately. Nice attempt at multi-function, but still needs lots of work. Wait for the next generation (if they don't lose the infringement lawsuit, that is)... ~:( Hugs and kisses!! Read more Less

    It is near impossible to hold a conversation if there is any background noise. I hate this phone and have never experienced a worse product.

    Pros: Looks sleek, designed nice, pad functions ok

    Cons: Not enough disk space available, slow, and crashes. Not good!

    From what I read so far of user reviews, I would not waste my time and money investing this product. And the irony of this is that NBC's Today Show makes you think you really need this device! Sorry, NBC, I won't listen to any more of YOUR pr...oduct overviews! I didn't know what a "Blackberry" was until I saw these reviews here in Yahoo!. I trust more on the people who wrote the low rating reviews than the ones with the high ratings, since the low raters seem to be more computer knowledgable. Any device that has a high rate of crashes and functions as being slow and slow downloads, is not worth the money. Recommend investing in the Palm devices more than this one. Read more Less

    Do you recall what a 9600 kbs modem was like? Slow

    Cons: It is only good for packman - If only my vacume could suck this bad.

    Internet speeds are as fast as the ones we experienced back in 1992 and I am not kidding. The applications that I need for medical were very much lacking and I consequently returned to my palm PDA. We have several years until this product will be wor...th my time. Sorry to be mean but this product should not be sold - IMHO. I wanted to like it so much but just couldn't. It will be nice one day but that day is @ least a few years in the future.     Pros: Looks 'Cool'

    Cons: Awkward as a phone, hard to get/send email, complicated overall

    I wanted something where I could answer my email while not at home so I got the Blackberry. I was disappointed 12 hours after I got it because as a phone it is awkward to use. Later I realized I rarely received my email, and I called support a dozen ...times ~ which led me nowehere. The rest of the functions are somewhat difficult to navigate as well. Finally I gave up. It looks cool, but it is too complicated to use. Never again. Read more Less
