    Pros: Classic thrash,death and black metal fans,and old school satanists recomended

    Cons: Teen and 20 something black metal fans may not like this cd.

    I had the original vinyl album and I thought this album sounded pretty evil back then,the darkest metal I've heard then was Slayer. Now that I have the remastered cd, I've reconsidered venom sounding evil and hardcore satanic like the ever in...famous Norwiegen black metal. Old school black metal fans may like this band (if you don't own any of their albums yet). Most the songs are "Of Course" are about satan. Teen and early 20 something black metal fans may not like this band or cd, it's not your Dimmu Borgir(spelling),Slipknot
    ,or other death,black metal bands of today. Just to warn you,but you don't have to take my word for it,let the song samples be your final decision.     Read more Less

    Truly black metal at it's puriest

    For those of us who enjoy a brutal form of gutteral music this is album set the tone for the acts of today...Venom is black metal with hard and heavy riffs and absolute grind for the fans to enjoy!

    I first got this album in the early 80s and still listen to it all the time. If you like hardcore evil this is it!
