Works great for past 6 years
Pros: no gas, oil to mess with
Cons: cord, but we got used to it
My husband and I have been using this mower (without the bag, since it's a mulching mower) for over 6 years. We live on a 1/3 acre lot and it is easy to use and mows well. We have not had to replace anything except getting the blade sharpened at Ace Hardware once a year. I am buying the side bag for leaf season.

Pros: quiet
Cons: everything else sucked about it.
it was a house warming gift and we didn't even get through the first mowing season before it broke. sparks started flying and we figured out it was the copper coil thing that is $115 to replace, the leaf bag we bought separte for $35 and when we got it home we ended up having to change it every 5 mins and keep in mind our yard is NOT big. it was difficult to manuver with the cord and was too much of a head ache to deal with, kinda glad it broke so we can get a REAL mower that can last longer than 3/4 of a season.

Pros: Designers will get medal for WORST DESIGN of the century
Cons: Don't buy. 1) Side bag is difficult to move at corners2) Bag is small3) Once bag fills it tears4) Very difficult to attach the bag
This is the worst product I've ever used. Worst design, difficult to attach the bag and use it. Bag fills out very fast as it is very small. and the bag material is worst and it tears with the weight of the grass.
I use to have 19" Black and decker that I've enjoyed very much and I brought this 18 inches as the old one started giving vibrations. I like it being electric - no sound.
I don't know how Black and Decker passed this 18" mover quality and usability test. We should give the designers a medal for their worst desin of the century. I am totally pissed as I just came from moving my lawn.Was this review helpful? Yes - No
