    Pros: Poignant, A realistic view of Native American racism

    Billy Jack is a movie that wasn't as popular as some of the others of that era, but it left a message that stands even today. For the Native American or anyone suffering from racism. "He was a war hero who hated the war" The movie touch...es on Viet Nam, illegal slaughtering of wild mustangs, police corruption, and how Natives are sometimes hated for what they are. Or because they are different. The song by Coven, "One tin Soldier", was a hit and concidered "The Theme To Billy Jack" Billy Jack is an oldie but a goodie. You must check it out. Read more Less

    I got this movie as a gift and I love it. No matter how many times I watch it, I always cry at the end. To see Billy Jack give up his freedom for the freedom of the school. So touching.

    How Dumb

    Almost every movie I enjoyed as a kid, I still enjoy seeing today (age 48). But with Billy Jack, either the movie has changed a lot in 28 years (not likely) or I have changed a lot. Something I enjoyed so much back then seems so stupid now. Other th...an Coven's hit song "One Tin Soldier," I didn't care for it at all when I saw it again years laater. Where I used to hate the rednecks in town, now I would be supporting their efforts to close the school and run those kids out of town. Read more Less

    YOU LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT RACISM AND HOW IT HASN'T REALY CHANGED, THE INDIANS WERE HERE 1ST, BILLY JACK HELPS THE INDIANS AND SHOWS THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE W/OUT ANY RACISM & THAT IT PAYS TO STAND FOR WHAT YOU BELEIVE IN!
