Bill Van Loo is a producer, musician, and DJ based in Ypsilanti, MI, a town located roughly 40 miles west of Detroit. Since the mid-'90s, Van Loo has been producing music that has sifted through the primary influences of Detroit techno (Carl Craig, Derrick May) and Berlin dub (Basic Channel, Rhythm Sound), all the while incorporating less obvious strains of jazz and hip-hop.
