Deliciously Fuuny

I absolutely love this movie!!! I've been watching this movie snice I was 5 years old, and that was back in "88".

for one, i have seen it over 30 times and all the other reviews are true, it is INDEED the best movie of all time, on another note, i was trying to think of the best part of the movie, but everytime i thought of a great part, another better part came to mind... MUST BUY!

The question is "what doesn't this movie have?" Considering that this film came out back in '86, it's still a classic fun fest!! You can definitely see the HK kung fu influence that John Carpenter displayed in this classic which was way ahead of its time.
Black chinese magic, a stolen truck, green eyes, a six demon bag, kicks, punches, and bullets blazing, and "light coming out of his mouth"!! This is pure entertainment with a fantastic cast and it shows that everybody had a blast making this film. Plus, plenty of great lines too!
*Be sure to watch the DVD commentary with Russell and Carpenter for additional enjoyment!!

If you are a big fan of cheesey John Carpenter/Kurt Russel movies then this is a must. You couldn't own a copy of Escape from New York and not have this. Kurt Russel's John Wayne machismo is a scream. This movie would be on MST3K had it stayed on the air for 2 more years. Enjoy!!!

I can say that it is perfect in every way possible. The movie is the best fantasy action comedy ever. Definately beats Army Of Darkness which comes in a respectable second. The Extras with deleted scenes and a documentary are a welcomed inclusion too. Russel's and Carpenter's commentaries add a personal touch as you see they are good friends. The best thing of all, besides the movie, is the cheesy 80's rock music video that Caerpenter did with his rock group called the Coup D'Villes. It's actually just as funny as the movie. A definate cult classic in it's truest form.

This Movie is one of the best comedy/karate movies ever. Kurt Russell's best work. I recomend this movie to anybody who likes good older movies, I watched this movie when I was a kid and loved it and I still love it. Whenever it's on cable I stop flipping the channels and just pick up where it's at.

I don't need to repeat what others have said, but I will say that this movie practically defines its own genre. In the past there have been "screwball comedies." Well, "Big Trouble in Little China" is what I would call a "screwball action movie." I'm so glad that the DVD will feature commentary with Russell and Carpenter, as their joint commentary on "The Thing" was a terrific bonus feature, with the two of them just having a good ol' time. Given the nature of this movie, the commentary may be as much fun as the flick itself.

It's very rare to find a movie that doesn't depend on shocking you with sex and violence to entertain. This movie entertains through comic dialogue and great special effects. The character played by a very young and handsome Kurt Russel is a kind of "John-wayness" type of arrogant tough guy. He does this, of course, with a great amount of tongue in cheek which makes the movie even more enjoyable. Thanks so much for making a movie that the whole family can enjoy, and for proving that a great movie does not need excessive sex and violence. I highly recommend this movie. I wish it was on DVD.

If you're like me, you probably love an extremely fantastic movie. This is one. Like many of my fave movies, this one isn't on DVD just yet (I'm hopin that ends soon!!). This is one of the best movies Kurt Russel has done. I liked him in "Stargate", but this is his best. James Hong has always been a good actor to have in a movie whether he's a good guy or a bad guy. Hong acts!! John Carpenter is a creator that I"ve loved since this movie came out. He brings a certain style that's unique and entertaining while keeping your interest constantly. He keeps the pacing at a steady level and doesn't let it get too stagnant. This movie is a great flick for parties and get-togethers as well as just curling up on the couch with a kick ass flick. Check it out!!!

I've been a long fan of this little-known flick. For years I have watched it over and over again, each time amuzed, impressed and stunned by the combination of humour, action and almost believable plot. Jack Burton presents us with the ultimate ignorant Alice in Wonderland, and Wang and Uncle Chu do wonders to make the film great. A collaboration of wit and action leave a trail of bodies and tears of laughter in its wake. A must see for, well... anyone!!!

This is quite possibly the finest action-comedy movie ever made. I have literally watched this movie over 100 times and it keeps getting better every damn time I watch it!!! I'm not a fan of sequel's, but this one is definately deserving. If for no other reason, you need to buy this movie for it's endless supply of classic one-liner's...indeed!

BTLC is one of the BEST movies of all time. It's funny, eccentric, and exciting all at the same time. Kurt Russel is great as the know-nothing gwai-lo caught up in a upernatural cataclysm in San Francisco's Chinatown. If you like action, comedy, and jut plain strangeness, then this movie i definitely for you. I have watched BTLC over 50 times, and it jut gets better with each viewing. If you haven't seen it yet, then please give it a gander, you won't be sorry. Pure cinematic diversionary delight, BTLC stands the test of time. Rent it today, or better yet, buy a copy. You'll find yourself watching it more than once, that's for sure! :-)
