Big League Sports for Wii offers instant access to the most action-packed moments in sports. The result is a title with a singular focus on putting players in the most thrilling situations while competing in their favorite sports.

Six sports are represented for a combined total of 22 events, each using instinctive controls that mimic real athletic movement with the Wii Remote. Each sport -- tennis, basketball, football, soccer, lacrosse and hockey -- has its own kind of "hit the shot at the buzzer" style of heart-pounding action, and this is exactly what Big League Sports captures.

    Less than pleased

Pros: Doesn't take long to play

Cons: I don't want to play it

Sincerely, I expect more out of Activision. This game, from the packaging to the experience was a pretty big disappointment.Packaging - made to look like Wii Sports - the two couldn't be further from each other. Game Design - you don't ever ge...t to play an actual soccer, football, hockey, etc. game. All you can do is compete in the individual events (like kicking fieldgoals, or corner kicks in soccer). So imagine 'training mode' only for regular Wii Sports, and that is this entire game. There's no actual complete game of any of the sports.Visual Design - unless your TV is the size of an actual football field, get ready to do some squinting. All of the icons are far too small for my modest TV. Instructions on how to play the events were virtually unreadable. Graphically Read more Less

Big League Sports - Big League Disappointment

    By John J  Jul 20, 2009

    Pros: Affordable.

    Cons: Skills only, no games.

Some of the skills competition (as in shots on soccer goal) are far too easy. Controller on some skills respond slowly or not at all (Soccer Goalie has very a slow reponse, Quarterback does not always respond to throwing motion and the Hockey goalie ...does not respond at all). Even though the game is fairly inexpensive, it is still a waste of money. Read more Less
