    Pros: Well-written - superbly acted . . . awesome.

    Cons: none

Great movie. Don't believe the negative review - must be a kid with no imagination or respect for a well-written, well directed movie with wonderful acting.I had little or no desire to see this movie when it first came out, since I am not a huge... fan of Edward Scissorhands or some of the other stuff Burton has done. This is BY FAR his best work to date. Heartwarming, yet full of wit and humor. I would definitely put this movie in my top 25 of all time, and look forward to seeing it again real soon. I am surprised it didn't get much of a buzz when it was on at the theaters . . . Great movie - rent it, you will not be disappointed. Read more Less

Pros: Good plot, different than many movies I've seen

    Cons: none

I liked Big Fish. It was very interesting with an unexpecting ending. I liked it a lot. I think almost anyone would like it.

    Pros: Good story.

    Cons: Average acting.

Word of mouth had me expecting a lot more from this film. The story is nice. The characters were not so great. The only believable actor in the movie is Albert Finney. Thankfully Finney kept this Fish swimming. There seems to be a bit of a Forre...st Gump-ish ripoff theme throughout this movie. Albert Finney was great, Ewan MacGregor was pretty good, and everyone else was terrible. No need to show the brief rear nudity that was included. That could have been edited out. For some reason I had to turn the volume extremely high to hear this movie. Read more Less

Pros: Wonderfully entertaining in every way!

The kind of movie you wish would never end.
Albert Finney and Ewan McGregor's performances were Oscar worthy. We need more movies like this one!

    Fish always getts bigger

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 14, 2006

Pros: takes you to a fairy world

    Cons: none

Ever heard the word (fishy tale), or the expression something (fishy) when you hear someone telling an unbelievable story ??!! If yes, then you got the idea behind the movie ... As some tales are meant never to be believed but are better told the way... they are, for many reasons ... they can please the one hearing, it can give them hope, or it can change their future ... that what happens when Ewan MacGregor stars as the father whom his son feels that he lived a life more as in a fairy tale than reality, but the son finds out the opposite when his father dies ... a heart-capturing movie worth seeing ... and remember a fishy tale always getts bigger :-)) Read more Less

    Big Fish Tells Heartwarming Tale

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 30, 2006

    Pros: The Storyteling

    Cons: Bittersweet Endng

Big Fish is Tim Burton's masterpiece. He finally breaks out of his darkside and shows a lighter side with this movie. The real plot is between the father and son. But the way that the stories are told is what sets up the relationship between the ...two. It is a warning so to speak. It tells the audience that we are not promised tomorrow. So although things can get rough in family relationships, we should not alienate our loved ones because you never know when someone will be taken. It has so many different angles to analyze in terms of the story. And the sets are so colorful, which is a huge departure for Burton. tim Burton may have a bad reputation because of his past movies, but Big Fish proves he can irect any kind of movie and still be successful.
