    #20's post is ridiculous...............

Quit riding on Jay-Z's dick. 2pac was and still is an inspiration to alot of the dudes in the rap game right now to include Gay Z. Tupac was the greatest and most influential rapper of all time no doubt. If Tupac were still alive today, Jay-Z wouldn...'t be as big as he is and many of these mini Pac rappers wouldn't even exists. Meaning no Ja-rule, DMX or many other biters. From what I heard so far from this album it is pretty tight for some rejected tracks that tupac didn't even want to put out. That tells you something. Even his lesser songs are tighter than what Jay-z is puttin out.Jay-Z is fake, and he needs to be more original and quit biting Tupacs lines and lyrics. His recent music has been laced with plenty of Pac rhymes, and some of you Gay-z fans don't even know that. Jay-z's best album was his first. Tupac has made classic albums over and over. He wrote and recorded the Makaveli 7 day theory album in just 7 days, and that album was one of his best if not the best. Now who else can do thatThe writer of post #20 is only 19 that means he was about 13 years old when pac died. So obviously he doesn't know anything about the greatest rapper of all time, he has only been influenced by a rapper of his era, Gay-Z. Come correct next time you post and never disrespect Pac who Jay-Z and many other rappers wish they could be. Read more Less

Pro Reviews: Better Dayz

  • All Music Guide

Though it was released on the eve of the busiest year in 2Pac's posthumous career, Better Dayz shouldn't be overlooked -- and with the schedule including a feature documentary (with soundtrack), plus two books and another double album, it might be easy for this one to slip from the radar. A lengthy two-disc set, it benefits from a raft of still-compelling material by one of the two or three best rappers in history, as well as excellent compiling by executive producers Suge Knight and Afeni Shakur, 2Pac's mother. Organizing the set roughly into one disc of hardcore rap and one of RB jams makes for an easier listen, and the RB disc especially has some strong tracks, opening with a remix of 1995's "My Block" and including quintessentially 2Pac material -- reflective, conflicted, occasionally anguished -- like "Never Call U B Again," "Better Dayz," "Fame," and "This Life I Lead." Most of the tracks are previously unreleased, the rest coming from scattered compilations like Knight's Chronic... 2000: Still Smokin' or 1995's The Show soundtrack. It's 2Pac's best album since his death, and bodes well for future material by, and concerning, rap's most legendary figure. - John Bush, All Music Guide Read more Less

Biography

2Pac

2Pac became the unlikely martyr of gangsta rap, and a tragic symbol of the toll its lifestyle exacted on urban black America. At the outset of his career, it didn't appear that he would emerge as one of the definitive rappers of the '90s -- he started out as a second-string rapper and dancer for Digital Underground, joining only after they had already landed their bigge... Read more
