    Pros: Song Writing and Musicianship

    Cons: Missing a few tunes

    You don't get much better listening music than MTB. Toy Caldwell was about as genuine an American Musician/ Song Writer as they come. A true legend. All the big hits are here, only a few omissions (Singin Rhymes) mar a tremendous piece of work. W...ith Paul Riddle's jazz drum rolls to Jerry Eubanks flute, Tommy Caldwells driving bass, George McCorkel's rhythm and the incredibly unique thumbpickin guitar style of Toy Caldwell songs like "I'll be loving you" bring tears to your eyes. They were just that good. The heartfelt solo on Virginia shows Toy's rare ability to make a guitar cry, bringing to mind the late Roy Buchanan. We were certainly blessed to have them make their music during our time. I hope future generations appreciate this gem. Read more Less
