  • Overall:

    excellent record

I'm the guitarist of this band, although you would never know because Yahoo just doesn't want to acknowledge it. It is a collection of songs we've done and you should buy it so Rhino can get some money. Rhino should put out my solo record cause it's... quite good. • All Music Guide

Despite all of their good reviews, Dramarama was never able to break into the mainstream. Nevertheless, they left behind a number of terrific rock roll albums, which found a dedicated cult following. For anyone interested in joining that cult, Best of Dramarama: 18 Big Ones provides an excellent primer, featuring 16 of the group's best songs -- including "Last Cigarette," "Anything, Anything (I'll Give You)," "Scenario," "Work for Food," "Haven't Got a Clue," "Wonderamaland" and "What Are We Gonna Do?" -- plus two previously unreleased cuts, "Going Blind" and "You're So Rude."

Biography

Dramarama

Blending hard rock wallop, alternative rock smarts, power pop songcraft, and punk rock urgency, Dramarama was a band who seemed on the verge of a major commercial breakthrough several times during their 11-year career. Puzzlingly, it never arrived, though the band developed a potent following in their native New Jersey as well as the West Coast; their almost-hit, "Anyth... Read more
