Taken from Dana Dane's mid-'80s albums, Dana Dane With Fame and Dana Dane 4 Ever, this best-of lives up to it's name and catches both albums' best cuts. The style will immediately bring to mind Dane's better known high-school chum and rap partner Slick Rick, especially the lead track "Cinderfeller Dana Dane," but he certainly owns the flow as much as Rick and raps with confidence. The production is sometimes stiff and dated, but Dane's storytelling is natural, delivered with an ease and humor that is often forgotten in rap and more than makes up for the awkward beats.
