the movie Best in Show was a breif overview of reality. As being a fan of dog shows and horse shows i see this kind of people in my everyday life. i hope to get this movie for Christmas.

Sunday, July 15,2003, I had privilege to see another of Christopher Guests' ensemble assemble of satiric surrealism of conversational metamorphoses. Neuroses and psychoses reign simulating as normalness. Levy, O'Hara, the Folksmen, everybody extraordinaire. Part of irony is that the music is enjoyable, with harmonics including echoes of Limelighters/Chad Mitchell/Kingston Trio/Peter,Paul, and Mary/etc. What a delightful movie!

I LOVEDDDDDDDD This movie!! I couldn't get enough of the bumblebee scene. Definitely recommend if you are a dog lover!

This movie had a lot of truth in it. I noticed that the dog show crowd did not like it and slammed it on other discussion boards. They did that because they saw how they really act at dog shows and that non-dog show people would see it as well. I loved the movie and laughed all throughout it.

This was one of the funniest movies I've every seen! I great example of classic Python humor! This has enough hiarious jokes to make up for its few slow spots! Best in Show is a must-see!

"Best in Show" was so funny. Has good acting.
It was great to see some one make fun of those stuck up dawg show people. Some kewl dog's in the flim. Really a must see. The DVD is good!

This is what happens when you assemble a great cast around a great idea. The characterizations are so believable. I have always liked Christopher Guest from when he was with Second City, but he really impressed me as an actor. His character is so different from Corky in "Waiting for Guffman," Nigel in "Spinal Tap" and the six fingered man in "Princess Bride."

I saw this movie with a fellow (dog show) exhibitor, and we were actually putting local names to the characters in the movie!(OMG! That is Soooooooo her!) We couldn't believe how close to home this hit for us- and the "Starbucks" reference was ingenious- so many of us exhibitors start our show day with a steaming cup from our fave java purveyor!

Going to this movie brought back memories of the great Waiting For Guffman movie that no one knows about, and that everyone should, by the same director. It was non-stop laughs from the beginning to the end.

Despite the crude review title, I nearly did!! What a howl (Yuk, Yuk!!) For all dog lovers and anyone who wonders why all those pompous asses parade around at dog shows, it's a laugh a minute. Fred Willard is particularlty funny, but the dogs also steal the show. The film has great charm for all.
