Synopsis: Bend It Like Beckham (2003)
Synopis: An Indian family in London tries to raise their soccer-playing daughter in a traditional way. Unlike tarty elder sister, Pinky, who is preparing for an Indian wedding and a lifetime of cooking the perfect chapatti, Jess' dream is to play soccer professionally like her hero David Beckham. Wholeheartedly against Jess' unorthodox ambition, her parents eventually reveal that their reservations have more to do with protecting her than with holding her back. When Jess is forced to make a choice between tradition and her beloved sport, her family must decide whether to let her chase her dream...and a soccer ball.Features: Bend It Like Beckham (2003)

Great soccer movie!!
, August 24, 2003Reviewer: rhiannon325 - See all rhiannon325's reviews1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this Bend It Like Beckham review helpful I really enjoyed this movie, it was a real ride. I loved watching the characters work through their problems and develop their relationships. The relationships between Jess and Jules and also between Jess and Joe were well protrayed and interesting. The girls had the normal problems when their ambition got in the way of their friendship. Jess had a real desire to play and the talent to go with it, but her parents were afraid of the progressive movement of their children toward the future. Overall it is a movie that you can watch over and over just to find out something new. It has a draw for those who are not interested in soccer and for those who love soccer. ... -
