Parminder is a remarkable British Punjaban who's more in love with football than the frivolity of her culture!
She's a character that perhaps most desi girls will relate to. Her drive to do her best at what she aspires the most, is what takes a mere sport to turn into her life's biggest opportunity!
Her mom & dad could easily pass off to be mine haa haa...such is the close resemblance of character!

I really enjoyed this movie, it was a real ride. I loved watching the characters work through their problems and develop their relationships. The relationships between Jess and Jules and also between Jess and Joe were well protrayed and interesting. The girls had the normal problems when their ambition got in the way of their friendship. Jess had a real desire to play and the talent to go with it, but her parents were afraid of the progressive movement of their children toward the future. Overall it is a movie that you can watch over and over just to find out something new. It has a draw for those who are not interested in soccer and for those who love soccer.
