Pros: Inspiring,Exciting,thrill
ing and most importantly heart changing
Cons: none
I have seen this movie a dozen times, saw this first time in a theater as a kid in India (huge screen 70mm)
just fantastic. Also like the way Christ is portrayed in this movie really inspires all people including non-christians.Its a shame Hollywood does not produce movies like this anymore. Its a nice tool to announce the Gospel to the world.

This movie has everything. First of all the content is so wonderful. Christ redemption so true. Ben-Hur could have been any man. Charleton Heston was magnificent. He made this
person real. He was the man for the part. Always will be my favorite.
This movie is a damn good one for that time period. If it was done today, it would been low budget computer animated and the story would been the talk of the month about how "real" the story is and how religious it is. Also I think it would of last atleast 2 hours
Set in the time of Christs last days. This is the story of a man that has his live changed by the faith of the people around him. Great movie, one of ten all time greats.
Although not a Biblical account, this film has got so much spiritual assets that people can learn from. Truly a masterpiece that any cinephile should own!
One of the best classic films ever!
I have always loved this film. It is Heston at his best! The locations are perfect and the plot runs the gammut of emotion. A must see!
Classic.
The last two posters are idiots.
not even worthy of THAT actually. this movie is terrible
There's a reason why this is the all-time Oscar winner. Study the composition, scene by scene, in widescreen. Each scene looks like a painting by Botticelli or Michelangelo, a masterpiece. This may be what Wyler was indicating with the paintings at the beginning. While the acting may seem "overdone" by postmodern cynics, yet in the vein of classic acting schools, it's perfect theater on film.
I think this is one of the premier movies which is still the best thro. time. The Highest Oscar winning Movie till date. I have seen it more that 6 times and i don't mind seeing it again. It's great, A must see movie. Whatever any kid may tell, This is geat.
Charlton Heston does quite a bit of overacting in this highly religious epic film. The chariot scene though, especially on the remastered version, is a must see and makes the film descent entertainment. The Christian overtones though occasionally get a bit heavy handed.
This is an amazing story of the ultimate triumph of hope over bitterness. [Return of the Jedi doesn't even get close. However, Episode 1 *does* have its own plagiarized version of the chariot race, but that's another story entirely. If you liked Star Wars, you'll love this.]
Well, I watched it in History class and I didn't
understand a word of it - it made no sense!
The only
reason I'm searching for sites on it is because I have
to do a project on it. *ugh*
If you're thinking
about watching it don't, because it's crap as far as
I'm concerned. But movies *are* personal opinion.
Smile!
