The first time I saw this movie was about a year ago on PBS. I was surprised to find myself enjoying it. Don't let the fact that this is a silent film turn you away. The acting is typical for a 20's film (a bit over dramatic) The film is much shorte...r than the 1959 version but it still has its exciting moments. The costumes and make up are terrific. Very different from what you see today. The film is a bit campy in that the actresses look like hollywood stars instead of biblical women . Overall the movie is exciting and definitely worth watching, especially if you've never seen a silent film. Read more Less
