    Another prodigy discovered by Finland's wonderboy Jaakko Salovaara (also known as JS16), Darude, started slowly to conquer dance world by two hit-singles, "Sandstorm" and "Feel the Beat." Those songs might be very attractive and rhythmic, but unfortunately Darude's (born Ville Virtanen) debut full-length doesn't success aswell. First of all, the main problem of Before the Storm is its monotoneous. It's whole content may be easily described with the both single-tracks. The rest of album is mostly just variation of its theme, and thus it doesn't work outside dancefloors. This is maybe because of Jaakko Salovaara's presence -- JS16's house is also monotoneous with no diversity at all. Whether this is a good thing or not, it just depends on the usage of the music. Darude's debut album Before the Storm may work well on dancefloor, but it is impossible to listen the whole album through at home.
