Bazil Donovan
Bazil Donovan is the bassist (and lead singer on the rousing concert favorite "Little Old Wine Drinker Me") for the popular Canadian band Blue Rodeo. "Baz" was born in Halifax but raised in Toronto. He started playing professionally at 17, and in 1980 joined a new wave band called Sharks that included future Blue Rodeo drummer Cleave Anderson. In 1984, after playing in a couple of other groups, Donovan answered an ad posted by songwriting partners Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor in ~NOW magazine....
