    The better Batman.........

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 1, 2003

This was by far the best of the Batman series, with Val Kilmer doing more justice for the character than Michael Keatons brooding depressed psycho rendition. Although I cant stand Jim Carey, he does a good job in this flick. The riddler seems to be the ideal character for him. This one is better than all the other Batman movies.

    A Letdown

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 9, 2003

Michael Keaton was offered a role but he turned it down for some reason. Val Kilmer is a good actor but he just suit very well for role in this film. It has cool special effects but the customes looked too kiddie. It doesn't have that dark gothic feeling like the first one instead it has more of the comedy feeling. Without Tim directing the film, it has no magic. He only produced part of the film but still wasn't as good as the first one. The direction was lame. This is not worth renting or buying. You should only watch this if you want to see what a joke this film is.

This is the best "Batman" movie ever made. I am so glad they got Val Kilmer to play the caped cruasader. I am also glad they got Chris O'Donnell to play his sidekick Robin.
Someday I will make a parody of the "Batman"
films called "Batman Defender" it will spoof all 4 Batman flicks.

BATMAN FOREVER...the beginning of the EN

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 12, 2001

Val Kilmer takes on the responsibilities of the caped crusader. Kilmer does a decent job of portraying Batman, but his influence is felt when portraying the "boy billionaire" Bruce Wayne. Two-Face is a great character portrayed by the perfect person...Tommy Lee Jones. His popularity is short lived because The Riddler steals the show, who is played flawlessly by Jim Carrey. Two-Face is a wasted chatracter in this movie. BATMAN FOREVER introduces the dynamic duo with the appearance of Robin. This film is the first of the series to be directed by Joel Schumacher who has destroyed the series. The only reason I half way approve of this film is because Tim Burton was executive producer and had something to do with the film.

    Batman Forever

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 22, 2001

This is one of the most moronic movies to come out of Hollywood in years. However, it's entertaining stuff. Tommy Lee Jones and Nicole Kidman are criminally wasted, but Jim Carrey's show-stealing performance as the utterly demented Riddler is worth the price of admission. The new music for this film is great and the sets and costumes are very cool. So in other words: the style carries it through. And Kilmer? Well, he does a pretty good impression of Keaton, but he doesn't bring anything new to the role. Overall, an entertaining film (if a little overlong) which easily captures the essence of Batman.

    not forever the best.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jan 21, 2001

This is the starting point where Batman goes neon. Batman forever then to Robin goes soft.Alot of you may think the first two movies were a dark version of Batman but get Real! that is the fact! The comics were pretty dark it self. This one doesn't claim the right to be pg-13. Anyways positive side is that Nicole Kidman is the prettiest girlfriend of bruce wayne for all the batman movies.

    Gawd Awful

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 16, 2000

Schumacher kills the franchise with this one, but nobody notices until the next movie. Kilmer delivers another of his bland performances. Jim Carrey does a homoerotic version of Frank Gorshin's Riddler. As Two-Face Jones is a Joker-wannabe. Nicole Kidman is yet another over-sexed Batman love interest. Chris O'Donnel is young and rebellious, not to mention irritating, as Robin. This flcik is only worth seeing to make fun of.

    The Dark Knight in neon?

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 15, 2000

I don't know what's worse, the fact that this film could have been so much better than it was, or the fact that so many reviewers and watchers genuinly think it was better than the first 2. Lets face it, we've suddenly got all the street thugs adverising their exact location to the police force by wearing neon body paint, the Batmobile glows in the dark to make itself easier to hit and the script needed so much fine tuning it was untrue. Only a fool could say that Schumaker did a better jon than Burton would have, and only someone with severely impaired taste could think Kilmer was better in the role than Keaton. The only saving graces of this film were the villains, who were acted splendidly in spite of the poor options made available by script and director, and the improved special effects. Now anyone who reckons they wouldn't have been better still under the skillful hands of Burton should seriously consider pschiatric help. Oh, and one last thing, why the hell was Elfmans brilliant music replaced by the poor musac they used? Hell, it was so bad the people who made the trailer used 'Finale' from the original film 'cos they knew the elevator music sucked.

Malevolent Brilliance for the Dark Knig

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 21, 2000

Batman Forever is a breath of fresh air and a triumphant return to grace for the Bob Kane franchise. Val Kilmer is the perfect fit as the suave Bruce Wayne and the introspective Batman. Jim Carrey also contributes in outstanding fashion as the enigmatic villian in this chapter of the series.
