This CD holds the best hard house you can get out there. If you want music thats going to make your body, mind and ass move, well don't LOOK ANY FURTER. This is want your looking for. Good for 2001.
Dear wtp280344 & spazchik_779,
Myself along with 40 other friends of mine have been listening to BBB Vol 5 for weeks now with ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER. Sorry to break this to you "big shots", but your head is seriously screwed up! Perhaps you should "fdisk" the mind, enroll in some kind of "basic" life skills course, and then try to listen to it "properly"! And after that, go back to your loooser buddies at whatever competitive artist you are trying to "push" and try to brain storm something as good as Bangin the Box Volume 5. Looooooooser! J.J. Gittes. A Happy Bad Boy Bill Fan. :-)
I am an avid listener of BBB. Hearing his music progress throughout his albums I have come to notice the gradual change. I believe he is working twards a newer sound, while maintaing his hard house roots. BBv5 strays further away from his older sound, while experimenting with the new. I am going to continue to listen and follow Bill, and see what he comes up with next.
I am a long term fan of Bill's music. House Connection 1 was good. 2 was better. Bangin' the box got better and better....till now.?
What happened to the fat build up's and melt downs sudden sliet breaks, brain "bangin" vocals? This is some repetitive junk bill.
Im 25 and have been following you for a long time. I am friends with Shannon Williams G.R. who you thank in the cd. Maybe you should come back and get reaquainted with your old school??????? Is Humpty the Leader now???? In my book yep. sorry bill
Signed, Dissapointed
Needless to say, I rushed out to buy Bad Boy Bill's Bangin' the Box 5 this morning. I have always been a fan of his hard-hitting, progressive style. However, I was extremely disappointed in this CD. I actually think Bill forgot to "bang" in this one. It almost seems like he fell asleep while mixing the most repetive, annoying sound he could find. I don't blame him! I am glad I bought the CD, however, for the mere fact that I won't have to waste money on his tour.
I have to bow down once again the the master. Though I still don't feel this is his greatest potential, I do believe this is a bad ass cd. I didn't give it a five for, what I felt, was a lack of consistency in the cd. Too much talk and not enough bangin'. But again, I would highly suggest this cd to any true House fan, or anyone else for that matter.
