Soundgarden is the best thing to come out of the Seattle Grunge scene and this is their best album. Too bad they broke up:(

Just like all other grunge bands. Soundgarden Sucks. Chris Cornell is a big fat whiner and his new band sucks ass too.

Unfortunately, I don't listen to Soundgarden anymore. I used to when I heard this whole album and it has some good songs when I listen to it at a friend's place and never actually bought any of their albums. Sorry, I feel this music is getting old and boring.

Alright! I like some of the songs from soundgarden. I heard some of the songs. Actually I like more than 2 songs since it's of there heavier albums. So I'll give it 5 stars.

The only reason I'm writing this is because the previous review really bothers me. This person obviously has never given Badmotorfinger a chance. All of the groups they mentioned have disc's that are sooo much deeper than the few songs that were played on the radio, but this person seems to need the radio to tell them what a song that doesn't "suck" is.

Rusty Cafe and Outshined are the only good songs. And Nirvana songs Come as you are, Lithium, and Heart-Shaped Box, Alice In Chain's Man in the Box, We Die Young, Them Bones, and Sea of Sorrow, and Pearl Jam's Alive, Ten, and Jeremy are the only grunge bands with these very few songs I liked, but rest all other grunge bands and all their other songs sucks ass.

You can't write a fitting review for this album. It is the definately my favorite. I love everything Soundgarden did but this album sets the standard. No, it breaks the standard. All the songs are outstanding. I just can't recommend it enough.

This is my fav Soundgarden cd besides A-sides Outshined is clasic I love he guitar work on J.C. Pose it's a dramatic ballad. and rusty Cage is one the heaviest tracks on the cd. Buy it! I love it.

"BMF" contains Soundgardens noisiest and weirdest songs. The singing and the song structures are rather rhythmic and with perfect timed breaks, less melodic.
But there's one big problem: the second half of the album (track 7-12) is more or less crap. Often just carried over 4 minutes by one single hookline and with nonsense lyrics.
However the first half of the CD contains true grunge gems above all "Outshined" (best grunge song ever) and "Jesus Christ Pose".Was this review helpful? Yes - NoBrilliant

I'd say that Soundgarden got better and better towards the end. Their first record Louder Than Love had some mediocre songs, but the three albums after LTL were pure gold. Badmotorfinger is probably Soundgarden's most metal album, and it's easy see why bands such as Tool and RATM are Soundgarden's fans.

Widely known as their breakthrough album which sold over a million records in the U.S. BadMotorFinger was an album that came a long long way from where this guys were from. True to Led Zeppelin roots, the album was outshined by the overhyped media coverage of now deceased Nirvana and of course
Pearl Jam, SoundGardens best of friends.
Still the album did good and the quality of the album itself has a tremendous value to it. It would pave way of what would become their best album ever, and arguably the best grunge and metal album ever

Although it is not as good as Superunknown, or Down on the up side, it definately captures the unique sounds of soundgarden. Jesus Christ Pose and Mind Riot are definately a preview of Superunkown.

This album is yhe one you have to have if you like modern rock music! It contains the roots of many rock albums that came after it, and it is the first to really revolutionalize old Black Sabbat and Led Zeppelin sound in a uniquely original way. Words however cannot describe it. Get it, and you will get addicted to it!

not far behing superunknown but on the same level but didnt have really a big song like black hole sun,still this album rocks better than pearl jam and consistent through out,jesus christ pose makes you shiver with fear and outshined,rusty cage and many others make it a lie down think about stuff album

This is how i'll always remmember Soundgarden. It's a little louder than all of their others but "Jesus Christ Pose" makes this album with it's squeaky guitars and the best bass playing i've ever heard. This album rocks.
