The second solo album released by Coffie after exiting Inner Circle, Bad Boys is centered around a remake of the group's best-known hit, here titled "Bad Boys 2000." It's an interesting, if completely unnecessary, update of the reggae-pop classic. The rest of the album turns out to be a clutch of tracks from his first solo album, including timely covers of "You Sexy Thing" and "Hotel California." There are only a few new tracks here, and one of them is another Inner Circle hit ("Sweat"). It's clear that Bad Boys is strictly a cash-in effort, though the music is at a consistent quality.
