danny tenaglia's contribution to the back to mine series showcases the depth of his influences. whereas the editions of dave seaman and, more recently, faithless feature relatively newer chillout material, tenaglia opts to go for older gems and rewor...ks them to a spicy yet soothing set. i feel he gets a bit too fast and heavy in 'only you' and 'keep on walking', and sometimes he transfers to tracks simply by fading one out then starting the next. it may be due to that he had then recently opted to using a cd mixer, as opposed to the traditional vinyl mixing. but these are minor bumps in the smooth groove created by songs such as 'going 'round' and 'beau mot plage', plus the spectacular opener, 'emotion heater', and probably the perfect closer from, of all people, sergio mendes. all in all, its a very eclectic and sexy groove from one of the world's most accomplished dj's.
