    BYou not for Beginners

    By Susie  Feb 12, 2007

    Pros: Good Music

Cons: Dance Steps are way too difficult

I bought BYou for my 9 year old daughter. The steps including the instructional portion was way too difficult to follow. I even tried to teach her some but couldn't follow along myself. I was extremely disappointed. I recently purchased the Sweat...in in the Spirit by Donna Richardson and was so pleased with the video. She included line dancing on the video and it was so easy. My daughter now loves and prefers the Sweatin in the Spirit. She watches all the time. Read more Less

    A Waste of Money

    By Katy  Sep 27, 2006

    Pros: Clothes and music

    Cons: Difficulty and quickness

After buying BYOU with hard-earned babysitting cash, I was NOT pleased. It is clear to me that though Sabrina was trying to make this movie a fun thing for kids, a girl with little or no dance experience would find this frustrating beyond belief (ahe...m!). The "Break it Down" segment is not much better than the regular workout. It's hard to see a DVD with such good potential go bad. The music is catchy and fun and the clothing isn't inappropriate or profane in any way (a lovely contrast to many music videos). However, the drawbacks are major, and I cannot recommend this to any girl unless she has been dancing hip-hop or jazz for a long time. Read more Less
