Great AGP card for the MMO'er budget!

Pros: The price, Pixel shader 2.0 and Vertex shader 2.0
Cons: Wont run the newer "graphic monster" MMO's.
I bought the 3DFuzion GeForce FX 5500 Video Card 256mb AGP mainly for the price. I paid $89.99USD for this back in December of 2007. This card blew me away! A AGP card with 2.0 pixel shader and 2.0 vertex shader for under $100.00? TOTAL WOW! It blows... my ATI 9250 256mb PCI away. This card is great for my game collection. My games run 10 times more smoother than they did on my old ATI 9250 256mb PCI card. Also, I can watch DVD's in high def on my PC with this card with no lag. *These are my ratings for my games with the GeForce FX 5500 256mb AGP card: (Make sure you update to all the current drivers online before playing.) FFXI Online - Perfect! No problems even in higher resolutions. AD&D Online - Perfect maxed out glory! World Of Warcraft - Perfect! No problems even in higher resolutions. Second Life - Perfect! No problem even in higher resolutions. LOTR Online - Perfect! No problems even in higher resolutions. Vanguard Online - Perfect on default settings. Phantasy Star Universe Online - Perfect on default settings. Everquest 2 - Perfect with default! No problems but just don't go graphics happy in the graphics settings menu. Works great on default settings. You can tweak the graphics up a notch or two and it still works great. Fury - Works perfect on default settings. Just don't expect to run Newer MMO's like Tabula Rasa Online, Age of Conan, & other high end gory FPS shooters. But if you want a decent AGP card with pixel shader 2.0 and vertex shader 2.0 for under $100.USD this is the way to go. Read more Less
