Italy's Aydra performs ultracomplicated, conventiondefying deathjazz in the mode of Florida's Atheist, and features vocalist/bassist Mauro Pacetti, guitarists Francesco Olivi and Marcello Lammoglia, and drummer Nicola Raffaeli. Although formed as early as the mid90's (their first EP, Psycho Pain Control, came out in 1996) Aydra's debut album, Icon of Sin, only surfaced in 2001.
