The punk quintet Avail comprised vocalist Tim Barry, guitarist Joe Banks, bassist Gwomper, drummer Erik Larson and "cheerleader" Beau Beau. A product of the Washington, D.C. hardcore scene, the group signed to Lookout Records to release their 1992 debut Satiate, followed in 1994 by Dixie. While touring in support of 1996's 4 A.M.
