    Now then, this film is one of the best horrors ever to come out of Japan in a long time. The story tells of how a mild mannered TV studio president years ago lost his wife, his son now round about 18 or 19 talks him into fiding another wife.He does t...his by setting up a fake Audition, one lovely young woman catches his eye and he becomes obsessed with her. Little does he know that this woman is infact a sadistic serial killer out for revenge on all men. I am not going to tell you the end, but if you see this film you will know why I called the title of this review "Deeper Deeper"The film is deeply disturbing, very well acted out and the gore effects are shocking, especially the final five minutes or so.     Pros: VERY suspenseful

    Cons: Slow beginning, kinda freaky

    Rented this movie from Blockbuster and was quite pleased with this film. In a nutshell, the movie is about a single guy who holds a fake audition for a movie in order to get names and numbers of women for dating purposes. He selects a woman, dates h...er, and thinks she's the "right one" but soon finds out otherwise. The first 3/4 of the movie is quite slow and uneventful, but is important to get the full impact of the movie. All I will say here is that the last 20 minutes or so was VERY suspenseful and I couldn't take my eyes off the screen, I tried, but couldn't. If you're in the mood for a good Japanese horror movie, give this one a try! Read more Less

    Pros: Great Japanese Thriller

    Cons: If you're not prepared, leaves one bewildered...

    I have to be honest here, I watched Audition last night because it was highly rated, and I have to tell you, I was perplexed....not because of the story line, but because if you happen to blink watching the movie, you'll be completely lost! The ...movie bounced the viewer around too much (flashbacks/ forwards) which left confusion. The storyline itself was great: lonely guy, lonely mysterious girl...
