    AWESOME PDA SMARTPHONE!

By Jeff  Nov 13, 2004 | 29 out of 31 found this Audiovox SMT5600 Smartphone review helpful

Pros: Email, Outlook Sync Contacts, Phone quality ,great Windows Media 10, size, color screen

Cons: buttons a bit small, no push for Email , camera

This is the first PDA/Smartphone/EMail combo I have ever owned, I bought this after two months of research. It came down to this, the Blackberry 7100T, and the Treo 650. I decided on this for numerous reasons:1. It syncs flawlessly with Outlook for m...y contacts/calender. I was done in five minutes with 280 addresses and my calender through 2005 on the phone. 2. I wanted to be able check my email on the go. If you are a corporate user, this may be ok for you unless you are typing a ton of emails a day. The typing is easy but the buttons are small, I had it down in a day. All these phones have button issues. I am not a heavy corporate user , there is no "push" like Blackberry where they come in without checking the server. So, if the Email is your #1 priority, this phone may still be for you, but no push on the emails, have to connect by buttons .3. Great phone, good quality. I use a Jabra Headset. No issues. 4. I love the reminders that pop us for the calender before appointments.5. Windows Media 10 plays music and videos with good quality.6. Camera is ok, not super, but that is not important to me. You can get a good shot on the go to email, but if you are wanting professional pics, not for you.7. BRIGHT color screen, very visible, nice quality. BEST OF ALL LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT!!!!! This baby fits in my shirt pocket..so small, feature packed! Read more Less

    Great phone

    By kavita_mehta  Aug 8, 2005 | 9 out of 9 found this Audiovox SMT5600 Smartphone review helpful

Pros: versatile, not a flip phone, easy to read display

    Cons: expensive

I had the Razr phone. I took it back an got this one. It works better for people who need a PDA but don't necessarily need real-time email delivery. I think it's an awesome phone that was built with a user in mind - lots of shortcut keys and... one touch funcitonality...it's great! Read more Less
