Bonecrusher brings a fresh new sound from the south. I think his album is approiately titled because with his commanding voice and lyrical talents, he makes you want to get up out of seat and dance your butt off. Bonecrusher is definitely the next s...tar to shine from the ATL. Read more Less

    OFF THE CHAIN CD!

    By Drew  Aug 12, 2003

Ok some songs aren't the best, but the type of music he brings is off the chain. He has a new style and he puts effort into his flows and songs. When you listen to him, it makes you want to get amp, and you can he is pushing forth his best effort... and having fun with it. The beats and the vocals make it worth while to buy this cd. Some of his lyrics are decent some aren't. He gets stuck on guns most of the time, but he is good at it. Like in I Ain't Scared, the way he changed it around and said plasma and cerebellum, was tight, instead of being like other rappers and saying brain and blood. So he isn't an average rapper, and his songs grow on you. So I would suggest peeping this cd, it's a well rounded cd. It's one to get amped to. Read more Less

  • All Music Guide

After working his way through the independent rap scene in his native Atlanta, Bonecrusher caught the ears of local legend/producer Jermaine Dupri. Immediately smitten with what he heard, Dupri ushered the Crusher away into the studio for some intensive recording. As a result, AttenCHUN comes out of the gate with great ferocity, initially scorning the obligatory intro (which amusingly finds a home on track two) for a ruthless "Lock Load" that gives way to probably the most solid track on the record, "Never Scared." AttenCHUN loses steam as it goes along, resorting to the clichéd interludes and beats that border on stale, but the Crusher's vocal delivery is like a jackhammer to the skull, and that's what keeps things interesting throughout the record (with guest cameos from Dupri, Lil' Jon, and Goodie Mob to boot). However, it's still better than most coming out of the Dirty South in 2003, and it also comes with a bonus DVD for added value.
