Ass Ponys combine indie-label lo-fi experimentation with a raw, roots rocking sound and the darkly humorous lyrics of lead singer Chuck Cleaver. The band's other members include guitarist John Erhardt, bassist Randy Cheek and drummer Dave Morrison. The band recorded two albums for independent labels, 1990's Mr. Superlove and 1993's Grim, before signing with AM.
